Biography
Dr. Mina Shaker is the Chairman of Medicine at Holy Name where he oversees an entire department worth of medical professionals. He is also on staff at and Hackensack University Medical Center and Mountainside Hospital, in addition to holding Medical Directorships at several rehabilitation facilities. To accommodate his patients' needs, he offers flexible night and weekend hours, providing comprehensive care when it's needed most.
He is a highly accomplished and board-certified internal medicine physician. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers School of Arts and Science and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Overlook Medical Center, where he conducted pioneering research on hypercalcemia and troponin, a key cardiac enzyme, and actively contributed to the rapid response committee.
A seasoned academic, Dr. Shaker serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Seton Hall Medical School and has presented extensively on medical articles and journal club topics. Within the Shaker Medical Group, he is known for his dedication to evidence-based care, ensuring that his patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments.
